Rain Matienzo, TikTok’s ‘Conyo Girl,’ reveals her dream leading man

TikTok sensation Rain Matienzo has set her eyes on her dream leading man, who turns out to be none other than Miguel Tanfelix.

In an online interview with GMA News Online on Tuesday, the “Conyo Girl” shared some of the Kapuso actor’s characteristics that made her admire him.

“What’s not to like? I love morenos. Gusto ko talaga yung itsurang Pinoy na Pinoy and siya talaga ’yon eh,” she said.

[I like those whose features are very Filipino and that’s him.]

According to Rain, she observes Miguel in his shows and she is amazed by his skills.

“‘Pag umiiyak siya sa mga leading lady niya, parang wait lang, ‘iyakan mo rin ako,’” she said.

[When he cries over his leading ladies, it’s like, wait, “cry for me too.”]

“How he has this certain genuineness when he goes into a role. You really feel that it’s him. He owned the role so that level of artistry and craftsmanship, I respect that,” she added.

With Miguel set to play Steve Armstrong on “Voltes V: Legacy,” Rain said she would definitely watch out for it.

On her dream roles, meanwhile, Rain said she would like to work on romantic-comedy and thriller ones.

“One rom-com where I have a solid love team. I won’t deny but I really want a love team then hopefully, one thriller or horror. I feel like I’ll be challenged in that role,” she told the press in English and Filipino.

“Maybe further down the line when I’m comfortable with all the other roles that I feel are closer to my personality, then I can do roles like that,” she added.

Rain officially became a Kapuso when she signed with GMA Artist Center in February. – RC, GMA News
