Donita Rose posts photo with G Tongi and who else is missing the '90s?
Oh wow, talk about a throwback, a flashback and terrific way-back-when.
Donita Rose on Instagram posted a photo with G Tongi taken recently in the States where they are both based, and immediately we are transported back to the '90s when the two made us proud as the pioneering VJs of MTV Asia.
"This woman holds a special place in my heart because apart from being a former Genesis talent and fellow MTV VJ, somehow our paths have crossed twice at a major milestone in my life; once when I moved to Singapore and the second when I moved to the US," Donita wrote in her post.
According to G's post, they came together on a shoot — with Donita on-cam and G working off-cam — for the Filipino store Island Pacific Market. With them is fellow Fil-Am Myrtle Janine Chavez.
"Sharing outtakes from our shoot yesterday where we made four different kinds of ginataan: Langka, sitar, tilapia, and tahong," G wrote.
Sharing the same photos as G's, Donita said, "It was so surreal to be working with two super talented Pinays working in the US."
"I can’t thank God enough for this new season of my life where I get to maximise my strengths and passions while enjoying every single day," she added.
The two are clearly making waves in the U.S., with Donita working as a chef with the Island Pacific Market and G as the newly appointed executive director of Fil-Am Arts.
