Alessandra de Rossi is also a music label head now

Alessandra de Rossi is adding another feather to her cap. After her directorial debut with "My Amanda," the award-winning actress is now turning her attention to music.

But Alessandra isn't just writing music or singing a song or releasing a record — which she's done way back in 2012 with "Adrift." This time around, she will be leading a music label. Pretty large, if you ask us.

A few things to note about Alessandra's new venture: She's calling it AWOOO Records, which stands for "a world of our own." It's going to be a sublabel of indie pop label Lilystars Records, and for this venture, Alessandra would like to be called ADR — uh huh, as in her initials.

AWOOO already has two artists to its name: Fil-German singer Hya and SoCal-based artist Alfa.

Critics and music enthusiasts will say the new record label is skewing towards chill wave and ambient pop given its artists but ADR says she is more after a feeling. "As long as you make me feel something, or if you make me feel like I'm not alone — when your music can be my best friend - it really becomes AWOOO," ADR said in a statement.

Sounds major, if you ask us, and at a time when everything has pretty much come to halt and we're asked to sit still in our homes, such bold moves are admirable, too!

Major congrats and good luck to this new thing, ADR! — LA, GMA News
