Tonton Gutierrez on working with Pokwang after a decade: ‘Napakasarap niyang kasama’


Tonton Gutierrez has expressed his delight and gratitude over working with Pokwang again after a decade.

During the press conference for "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko: It's Not You, It's Me" on Friday, the actor said it would be the second time he, Pokwang, and Paul Salas would be working again together.

"I was very excited to be working with her again. I hope I get to work with her again soon," he said.

"Napakasarap niya kasama, kaeksena. Napaka-komportable ako kasama siya sa isang show."

[She's great to work with. I'm very comfortable doing a show with her.]

Tonton added that Paul was still a kid when the three of them worked together in a series back in 2012.

Regarding their new project, Tonton said he was excited when he found out about its story. "I was really excited when I read the script," he said.

While working with Pokwang, the actor said she was very kind and always cheered him on. He also praised the comedienne for her acting skills.

"I would say mas lumalim siya ngayon, mas naging intense ang acting niya," he said.

[I would say that she has more depth now, her acting has become more intense.]

Tonton recalled one particular dramatic scene that she did. "She was very, very good," he said, adding that the whole staff and crew gave her an applause afterwards.

"Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko: It's Not You, It's Me" is a fantasy series that revolves around a married couple who undergo a rift in their relationship. Magically, they find themselves switching bodies and slowly rediscovering each other's lives.

The show, which airs every Sunday, premiered its first episode on Sunday and will end on Oct. 24. – RC, GMA News
