Julie Anne San Jose’s musical trilogy ‘Limitless, Part 2: Heal’ is dropping: 5 things to watch for

After wowing everybody in "Breathe," Julie Anne San Jose is coming back stronger with "Heal," the 2nd part of  her musical trilogy “Limitless."

Julie Anne will delve into a new world as she explores the beautiful island of Siquijor in Visayas for the very first time.

In a recent virtual interview with the press, the Asia’s Limitless Star and the whole team detailed some things fans can watch for in the upcoming show.

1. Culture, breathtaking scenery, and the people of Visayas

Going to the island for the first time ever, Julie Anne said the experience served as an “eye-opener."

“There are a lot of misconceptions about the island of Siquijor," she said. "[So] It was really nice to get to know Siquijor for real."

The singer described her visit as “magical” especially when they were able to immerse with locals, which in turn, resulted in their healing.

“Siquijor was really beautiful. The water was clean, the people’s welcome was warm. I really enjoyed it. It was really an amazing experience and the food was delicious,” she said.

“When you watch ‘Heal,’ you’ll feel visually full with the scenery and especially the sound,” she added.

2. Julie Anne’s piano scene on the sandbar

Among the features of an island is its sandbar, and Julie Anne did not miss to use it for a performance.

As seen in the trailer, among the highlights of the show is of Julie Anne clad in a red gown, playing the piano in the middle of the sandbar.

It was the first time she's done anything like it, the singer said, and it's become one of her most favorite experiences in her whole career.

“Iba yung feeling kapag nando’n ka sa gitna tapos mag-play ka ng piano na isa sa mga paborito mong musical instruments. Kakantahin mo yung sarili mong kanta tapos it’s the overall vibe talaga.”

[“The feeling was different when you’re in the middle and playing the piano, which is one of your favorite musical instruments, then you’ll sing your own song. It’s really the overall vibe.”]

GMA First Vice President and Head for Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Victor Amoroso added the piano scene “culminated the Siquijor journey.”

Musical director Myke Salomon, meanwhile, said it was the most “intimate and biggest song.”

3. Collaborations with Rayver Cruz and Jessica Villarubin

Determined to show more and to experience healing in Visayas, Julie Anne said they invited Rayver Cruz and Jessica Villarubin to make the trip more worth it.

In the trailer, Rayver is seen dancing around the island while Julie Anne and Jessica showcase their vocal prowess. Working together for this project, Julie Anne said it was “humbling.”

“I love Jessica. Apart from being so talented, she’s really such an incredible singer,” Julie Anne said. “I’m happy she’s part of ‘Limitless’ and she represents Visayas ‘cause she’s from Cebu.”

“Rayver is so light to work with and I’ve never really had a hard time working with him,” she added.

Julie Anne said she also felt grateful to have good company as it made her feel at ease and relaxed.

4. A local singer from Visayas joining Julie Anne

Apart from Jessica, a local singer from Dumaguete will be collaborating with Julie Anne on "Heal." Details are still kept under wraps but according to Julie, this is her first time to collaborate with this person, and she’s thankful.

“We used the locations fully and you will hear the identity of the places in our performances,” she said.

5. Julie Anne’s original songs

Apart from giving her own beautiful renditions of songs, Julie Anne will also be amazing the viewers with her original compositions.

According to the singer, she is happy to have this chance to show her works, while also showcasing the island of Siquijor.
