Sunshine Cruz reveals she cut her hair for ‘Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune’

Sunshine Cruz has revealed that she cut her hair short for her role on the highly anticipated drama “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.”

During the series’ press conference on Friday, Sunshine said she’d always been a fan of the “Mano Po” film franchise and felt it was an honor to be part of its transition to the small screen.

“It is a dream come true for me,” she said in Filipino.

“I could’ve bounced and tumbled in excitement when I was offered the role so when they asked me to cut my hair, when I started acting I always had long hair, but I said, ‘sure!’”

Sunshine made headlines last month after she showed off her new short bob complete with full-on bangs, a big contrast to her usual long straight hair.

In the upcoming drama, which is set to premiere in January, Sunshine will play an empowered woman who becomes Barbie Forteza’s character’s mentor.

“Mano Po Legacy: Family Fortune,” a story about a powerful family behind a successful company, also features Boots Anson Roa, Maricel Laxa, Rob Gomez and David Licauco. – RC, GMA News
