Heart Evangelista treats ‘Bling Empire’ cast to Filipino food at Barrio Fiesta in California

Heart Evangelista just treated Netflix’s “Bling Empire” cast to Filipino food! Of course, she took them to a place she knows best: Barrio Fiesta, but in California.

In case you didn’t know, Heart is of the Ongpauco family, who owns the Barrio Fiesta chain of restaurants.

On her Instagram stories, the Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations shared videos from her friends, TV Host Yasmine Tanres and director Mark Dela Cruz, dining at the Anaheim branch and enjoying Kare-Kare, pancit, and other Filipino favorites.

In one of the photos, it can be seen that they were joined by “Bling Empire” stars Kane Lim and Kelly Mi Li, as well as Philippine Azkals’ Ace Bright, and NYX Cosmetics founder Toni Ko.

“‘Bling Empire’ dinner at Barrio Fiesta Anaheim hosted by Heart Evangelista,” Ace’s caption read.

As seen in the videos, lumpiang shanghai, kare-kare, pancit, crispy pata, and sisig were among the Filipino favorites served.

“First time trying Filipino food & I’m feeling so chummy from all this yummy,” Yasmine wrote on her story.

“So yummy! Best Filipino food!” Kelly, meanwhile, wrote on hers.

In August, Heart was rumored to be joining “Bling Empire” Season 2 when she was spotted hanging out with Kane and Kelly, who happens to be two of the series’ cast.

They have since been teasing everyone about the Filipina’s appearance on the show with questions from Kane, and even a cryptic answer when Heart was cornered by TMZ.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, People magazine released receipts that Heart and Kane were indeed shooting for new “Bling Empire” episodes in August.

According to Netflix’s website, "Bling Empire" is a reality series that follows the City of Angels' wealthy Asian and American fun seekers as they go all out with their adventures. — LA, GMA News
