Jo Berry says ‘Little Princess’ became her escape after dealing with loss of 3 family members

Jo Berry said her upcoming show "Little Princess" became her escape after dealing with the loss of three family members last year.

"Naging idol ko nga po si Princess. The whole time bago ako pumasok ng lock-in may mabigat akong pinagdadaanan," the "Little Princess" star said in a virtual press conference on Wednesday.

"Si Princess po 'yung naging takas ko dahil alam kong kailangan ko siyang gampanan and at the same time 'yung mga hugot ko nung time na 'yun nagamit ko kay Princess."

Jo also shared what she learned about life through her character Princess.

Lahat ng challenges na dumarating, dumadating 'yan kasi kaya natin, kasi kaya nating solusyunan," she said.

Jo said her character Princess had become her reason to go on despite going through a trying time.

Jo lost her dad, brother, and grandfather last year.

"Little Princess" is set to premiere on GMA-7 on Jan. 10. The cast also includes Rodjun Cruz, Juancho Triviño, Angelika dela Cruz, Geneva Cruz, Chuckie Dreyfuss, Lander Vera Perez, Therese Malvar, and Jestoni Alarcon. – RC, GMA News
