Mr. M shares advice to Sparkle’s Next Brightest Stars for 2022

Johnny Manahan, also known as Mr. M, has shared his advice to Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars for 2022.

During a media conference on Friday, Sparkle, the new look and name of GMA Artist Center, unveiled its eight bright and young stars to watch out for this new year: Bianca Umali, Gabbi Garcia, Ysabel Ortega, Sanya Lopez, Ruru Madrid, Khalil Ramos, Miguel Tanfelix, and Derrick Monasterio.

"I would say to just keep on with the process, the process of becoming an actor. 'Yung magiging celebrity secondary 'yun eh," Mr. M told the group.

[Becoming a celebrity is just secondary.]

"Unahin 'yung pagiging artista. Darating 'yung celebrity nila,” he added.

[Be an actor first. Being a celebrity will come.]

“So I would say shine brightly. Live up to the name of 'Sparkle.'"

GMA Artist Center opened the new year with a new look and name—Sparkle—as it aims to light a fun and exciting spark in the entertainment industry all while evolving to fit the ever-changing new media and digital landscape.

It is spearheaded by Mr. M together with Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions. – RC, GMA News
