Career or love life? Sanya Lopez gives tips to newbie actress Rabiya Mateo

Having been in the spotlight for years now, Sanya Lopez shared some advice to newbie actress Rabiya Mateo.

During a recent online interview with the press, Sanya told her “Agimat ng Agila” Season 2 co-star that she didn’t have to choose between a career and a love life as long as she knew how to manage both.

“As long as ’di naman hadlang yung love life niya do’n sa career, eh di ituloy niya. Nakakatulong naman. Mayroong inspirasyon ka habang nagtatrabaho,” said Sanya.

“Kung makakatulong naman ’yon para sa kanya, eh di go lang, basta ’yung work, nandiyan ’yon. Galingan niya lang. Give your best all the time.”

In response, Rabiya said she would be prioritizing her career for the meantime. Her last reported relationship was with Neil Salvacion, who she broke up with in 2021.

Meanwhile, Sanya said she was impressed with the beauty queen’s performance on “Agimat ng Agila.” Rabiya will be playing an action-heavy role as Agent Asha Raj.

“Magaling si Rabiya. Nakita ko siya [sa] teaser. Hindi kami masyadong nakapag-usap sa mga nangyari sa kanya nung taping pero narinig ko masaya siya habang ginagawa niyo ’tong [show],” Sanya said.

“Agimat ng Agila” Season 2 is Rabiya’s series debut since she became a Kapuso in November.

She would be starring alongside Sen. Bong Revilla, with whom she previously shared an intimate scene with.

Directed by Rico Gutierrez, the upcoming GMA-7 series will premiere on Jan. 29. – RC, GMA News
