TikTok ‘Conyo Girl’ Rain Matienzo to make acting debut on ‘Artikulo 247’

Rain Matienzo, also known as Conyo Girl on TikTok, is now officially an actress as she makes her debut on “Artikulo 247.”

Playing Tanya, the best friend of Rhian Ramos’ Jane Ortega, Rain said she learned a lot from her co-actors and the staff during their lock-in taping.

“You all have impacted my journey and my career and I hope we came up with something that people would enjoy and love and learn from, as well,” she said in an online interview with the press Tuesday.

Rain, who became a Kapuso last year, also expressed her gratitude to GMA Network and Sparkle for the opportunity to be part of the upcoming afternoon prime series.

“Artikulo 247” will revolve on the lives of Jane and Klaire Almazan, who is played by Kris Bernal. It starts off when Klaire kills her husband (Victor Silayan) after she catches him having an affair with Jane.

Based on Article 247 from the Revised Penal Code, it is directed by Jorron Monroy. It will premiere on March 7. – RC, GMA News
