Sanya Lopez is welcomed with 'Acosta' chants in polling precinct

First Lady for President!

Sanya Lopez came to the polling precinct on Monday as herself to cast her vote, but many people saw her "First Lady" character Melody Reyes-Acosta.

As seen in a video taken by Frank Mallari and Monette Mangulabnan, the Kapuso actress was greeted with "Acosta!" chants in the precinct, which mirrors what is currently happening in the series.

"Hindi po ako 'yung tatakbo ha," Sanya said in the video.

In "First Lady," Melody is running for president after her husband, Glenn Acosta (played by Gabby Concepcion), was hurt in an assassination plot orchestrated by Senator Allegra Trinidad (Isabel Rivas), Glenn's rival in the presidential race.
