Jake Vargas, Bea Binene to reunite after almost 7 years on ‘The Fake Life’

Jake Vargas and Bea Binene are reuniting after almost seven years on the new GMA drama “The Fake Life.”

According to Cata Tibayan’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, Bea will play Cindy, whose adult version will be portrayed by Beauty Gonzalez. Jake, meanwhile, is the younger version of Sid Lucero’s Mark.

Working with his former on- and off-screen partner again after almost seven years, Jake said they had a brief period of adjustment before they became comfortable working with each other again.

“Ang tagal ko rin siyang hindi nakasama sa TV. Medyo nangangapa pa pero noong tumagal, okay na.”

Compared to the sweet and kilig acting they did on “Tween Hearts,” Jake and Bea said viewers would see a more serious side of them with their heavy drama scenes on “The Fake Life.”

“Siya ang sumampal sa akin. Siguro tatlong take ’ata ’yon ta’s yung sampal niya solid pero okay naman kasi parang sanay na eh. Malakas yung sampal na umabot sa pisngi ko,” Jake said.

In her defense, Bea said her hands were just really “mabigat,” and even her other co-stars knew this.

According to the Bea, the scene takes place when Jake’s character, Mark, returns after ghosting Cindy.

Despite Bea and Jake’s past, he said Inah de Belen, his girlfriend of six years, had been supportive of this project.
