Rabiya Mateo, Jeric Gonzales want to work together in a rom-com project

Rabiya Mateo and Jeric Gonzales may be pursuing different things in their careers, but one of the things they wish to do together is a romantic-comedy project.

In an interview with GMA News Online during the "Signed for Stardom" event Thursday, the couple said they would like to work on something light in the near future.

"Kung magkakaro'n ng chance, film sana. Movie [If we'd have the chance, we want to do a film]," Jeric said, adding that he wants it to just be "parang totoong buhay lang [just like real life]."

Jeric and Rabiya first met on the set of "Wish Ko Lang" in November, and have since stayed in touch and got to know each other. Months later, they revealed that they are dating.

Rabiya signed with Sparkle last Thursday, while Jeric is on his ninth year with the talent management arm of GMA. They look forward to doing more things together now that they're under the same team.

"We're really happy kasi individually, there's a lot of blessings na dumadating," Rabiya said. "Marami rin binibigay ang GMA. We're blessed as individuals and we're happy to share this blessing with each other."

("We're really happy because individually, a lot of blessings have been coming.  GMA has been giving us so much.")

"Ngayon na nag-sign kami sa Sparkle, I'm happy na mas marami pa kaming pagsasamahan na opportunities, hopefully. Dito kami mag-grow together," Jeric added.

("Now that we've signed with Sparkle, I'm happy that we can have more opportunities together, hopefully. We will grow together here.")

Recently, Jeric proved his acting prowess to the world when he bagged multiple Best Actor awards from international film festivals for his role in the Filipino movie "Broken Blooms."

Rabiya, meanwhile, marked her acting debut on "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Gabi ng Lagim IX." Among her most recent projects is "Agimat ng Agila" as Agent Asha Raj.
