Ken Chan asks for help for fan club president’s illness

Ken Chan used his platform to ask for help for someone near and dear to him: Ghelay, the president of his Ken-dy’s Fan’s Club.

“As you have always uplifted me, I want to be there for you, especially in this time of need,” Ken wrote on Instagram.

He posted a photo of himself with Ghelay another another one of Ghelay with medical tubes.

According to the actor, Ghelay has Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) stage 5 kidney failure and was diagnosed without any cause or reason.

The sudden news “has left us all broken and to say that this news has hit me like a pound of bricks would truly be an understatement—I am deeply saddened,” Ken wrote.

Ken posted Ghelay's GCash number and asked his friends, fans, and loved ones to help Ghelay in her great time of need.

The actor said that it does not matter how big or small the financial help would be.

“Any step, no matter how small, is a step forward here, and truly, I could really use all of your incredible support and aid today,” the actor said.

"Ghelay has been one of the most supportive, kind-hearted, and inspiring people that I have ever met," Ken said. 

“In it’s simplest form, life is but a string of moments and Ghelay, you, still have millions upon millions upon millions more to come—let’s do this together, together with our whole Ken-dy’s family, so we can multiply those millions upon millions upon millions of coming moments, that much more,” Ken said.
