Ruru Madrid says 'Lolong' is the best 10th anniversary gift, opens up about difficult journey

The highly-anticipated GMA primetime teleserye "Lolong” finally premiered last night, and lead star Ruru Madrid is thankful for all the love.

Ahead of the premiere, Ruru took to Instagram to express his gratitude and again opened up about his struggles during the production process.

He said that he's grateful to be given a big project that could provide hope and inspiration for his 10th anniversary in the showbiz industry. However, it had been not an easy journey.

Due to the pandemic and other conflicts, “Lolong” had to be revised several times before the shoot started.

Kaya kinaya naming lahat iyo," he added.

But if there’s anything the Kapuso Drama Prince learned, it would be to trust the timing of his life.

Ruru thanked everyone who is part of the “Lolong” team for not giving up on the program.

“Itong programa na ito ang pinaka malaking regalo na natanggap ko sa aking 10th anniversary sa industriya kasabay ng [‘Running Man PH,’]” he continued.

He also dedicated the project to his family, friends, colleagues, and supporters for continuously supporting him.
