Vickie Rushton is now a Philippine Navy Reservist!

On Instagram Monday, the former beauty queen expressed her gratitude and happiness, saying this is definitely among her prized possessions. 

“This is by far the highest and most meaningful achievement I received in my life,” she wrote.

“Honestly, I just wanted to work with different organizations where I can help and serve, but who would have thought that I will be a full-fledged Philippine Navy Reservist?”

While it's “way out of my comfort zone,” Vickie said she was able to discover lots about herself and her strength. She also said she found her mission.

“I’ve always believed that there was something bigger and greater for me. After some closed doors, I have been contemplating on what to do next. I think we’re all seeking the same — our life’s purpose.”

Apart from the Lord, her mentors, and batchmates, Vickie is grateful to her husband Jason Abalos.

“Thank you for allowing me to join. It’s nice to share this journey with you,” she wrote. “Thank you for supporting me and for encouraging me.”

“Nakaya ko ang lahat ng to dahil sa tiwala mo na kaya ko din gawin to. I love you, Baba,” she added.

Vickie ended her pageant journey in 2021. Just last September, she and Jason got married.
