Did Ken Chan get angry with Rita Daniela when she got pregnant?

Ken Chan and Rita Daniela are a very popular love team, with shows like "My Special Tatay" and "One of the Baes" among their well-loved projects together.

In June, however, Rita announced that she was pregnant.

On "Updated with Nelson Canlas," Ken addressed the misconception that he got angry with her.

"Noong nagdalang tao po siya, akala nila magkagalit kami, na nagalit ako sa kaniya dahil nasayang love team namin, na nagalit siya sa akin kasi hindi ko daw maintindihan 'yung mga issue," he said.

"You know, hindi totoo ang lahat ng 'yun e, hindi totoo na galit kami sa isa't isa, hindi," he added.

Ken said that the two of them support each other, and that he knew that it was one of Rita's life dreams to have a baby.

"Noong ginagawa pa lang namin 'yung 'My Special Tatay,' every time na karga niya si Baby Angelo, lagi niya sinasabi, 'Gusto ko na magkaroon ng baby boy, gusto ko na magkaroon ng anak,'" he recalled.

"Alam kong pangarap niyang magkaroon ng anak at itong nangyari sa kanya na binigay sa kanya ni Lord, 'yung blessing na hinihintay niya na magkaroon ng baby, napakasaya ni Rita and I'm so proud of her," he added.

He furthermore clarified that there was no bad blood between them.

"I'm so happy for her dahil alam ko na natupad isa sa mga pangarap niya ang magkaroon ng baby boy. And wala kaming samaan ng loob ni Rita. Hindi kami, at alam kong makakatrabaho ko pa siya ulit, nararamdaman ko," he said.

After Rita's announcement about her pregnancy, Ken took to Instagram to voice his support for his leading lady.

"As a friend, as someone who cares, I'll always be here for you no matter what," he said.

Ken and Rita's other projects together include "Ang Dalawang Ikaw" and "Huling Ulan sa Tag-araw.” —JCB, GMA Integrated News
