Valeen Montenegro finishes second at the Spartan Philippines race
Valeen Montenegro has a new accomplishment — she finished in second place and received a silver medal at the Spartan Philippines!
The actress was encouraged — or “nabudol” — by her friends to be part of the race held in Timberland Heights, San Mateo, Rizal.
“Nakakapagod kayong friends,” she said in an Instagram post.
But her training and previous experiences paid off, because she was able to receive a medal and get up on the podium.
"Super proud of myself for bagging the silver medal (age category) for completing the 21k Spartan Beast course," she said. "First time ko mag podium eveeeeeer!!!”
“This moment is a core memory indeed,” she added.
Valeen also gave some words of encouragement for those who want to try out the race, “DO IT!!! TRAIN FOR IT! PUSH YOURSELF! And see you in the next race!”
“To all the Spartang [Inas] out there, CONGRATULATIONS!” she added.
The “Bubble Gang” mainstay was supposed to compete in the race back in September, but was unfortunately diagnosed with COVID-19. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
