Therese Malvar stuns with co-jurors at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

Therese Malvar is having the time of her life in Estonia, where she serves as a co-juror for the First Feature Competition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

In her latest Instagram post, the actress shared portraits of herself with her co-jurors: a director, a producer, a talent agent, a screenwriter from Austria, United Kingdom, Germany, and the USA.

“It’s amazing how diverse we all are yet we come as one whenever we talk about cinema," she said.

“We would constantly share about the similarities and differences we have within the film industry,” she added. “They were shocked about our 14 [to] 16 hours of work[.]”

Although she was worried about being intimidated and alienated by her co-jurors since she is young and the only Asian, Therese said she “felt immediately welcomed from the very first day we all met!”

The “Unica Hija” star said that she still can’t talk about the films they watched, “but so far so good!”

“[Nakakakilig] talaga lagi kapag nagbabanggit sila ng Filipino films and directors. It’s wonderful how many of our films are being recognized in the international scene. So grateful,” Therese said.
