Barbie Forteza has been honored yet again for her performance in "Maria Clara at Ibarra."
The Kapuso star received an award from Gawad Banyuhay sa Programang Pang-Edukasyon.
In a photo shared by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, Barbie can be seen going up to the stage and accepting the award.
"We say DASURB!!" Sparkle's post said. "We are very proud of you our Bb. Klay!"
In "Maria Clara at Ibarra," Barbie plays Klay, the Gen Z nursing student who went back in time and into Dr. Jose Riza's “Noli Me Tangere” universe.
The hit show has inspired many to read or reread the books, and has even been played in classrooms.
Speaking about that impact in an interview, Barbie said, "Nakakatuwa lang talaga at nakakataba ng puso na part ako ng show na yun, napaka-importanteng project." —JCB, GMA Integrated News
