Xian Lim all praises for his 'Hearts on Ice' co-star Ashley Ortega

Xian Lim had nothing but good things to say about his "Hearts on Ice" co-star, Ashley Ortega.

In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, Xian admired Ashley's skating skills and her passion for her work.

"I think she is very dedicated," the actor said. "She comes on the set prepared. She knows what she's doing especially on ice."

Xian also talked about the skating moves they are doing for the series.

"Ngayon nag-i-intensify 'yung mga ginagawa namin sa serye, 'yung mga lifting na involved which is a bit dangerous kasi kung mapatid kami may mga blade sa mga paa namin," he said.

("What we're doing in the series is now intensifying—the liftings involved, which is a bit dangerous because if we trip, there are blades on our feet.")

"So it takes a lot of practice, time and dedication sa 'Hearts on Ice.'"

Ashley also previously sung Xian praises for her co-star, especially with his dedication to learn the sport. The actor trained for months, bought his own skates, and passed his ice skating proficiency test with flying colors.

Aside from Ashely and Xian, "Hearts on Ice" will also star Lito Pimentel, Ina Feleo, Cheska Inigo, Kim Perez, Roxie Smith, Ruiz Gomez, Skye Chua, Antonette Garcia, and more.

Olympic figure skater Michael Martinez will also appear in the series, which will be directed by Dominic Zapata.
