Raffy Tima, Connie Sison renew contracts with GMA Integrated News

Raffy Tima and Connie Sison renewed their contracts with GMA Integrated News on Thursday.

During the signing at GMA Network Center, Raffy and Connie said they will continue giving viewers the daily dose of news that they need in "Balitanghali."

"Lalo pa namin pagbubutihin 'yung pagbibigay sa inyo ng isang balanse at makabuluhan na features din na maaaring matutunan ng lahat para makasabay po tayo sa panahon," Connie said.

"Maghahanap pa kami ng features, stories na talagang makabuluhan na makakatulong sa inyo, makakatulong sa inyo, makakabuhay sa inyong damdamin bilang mga Pilipino," Raffy added.

Connie and Raffy have been with "Balitanghali" for 13 and 17 years, respectively. Despite this, the two said they still face challenges every time they face the camera.

"It's always good na meron ka parating urgency to do your job well. Hindi 'yung parang walk in the park na lang na lagi kasi that's when you lose everything," Connie said.

"Marami kaming breaking news at 'yon, talagang 'di mo maikakahon," Raffy added. "Every day kapag pumapasok kami sa studio, laging may bago, natututunan, meron at merong nakaka excite."

Also present at the signing are First Vice President and Head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy, and Acting Head of GMA Integrated News Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, GMA Integrated News Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Division Michelle Seva, and GMA Integrated News Consultant Grace Dela Peña-Reyes.

Among Connie's other shows with GMA include "Pinoy MD" and "Unang Hirit." Raffy, meanwhile, has also been reporting for "24 Oras" and doing a special coverage on climate change.
