Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid sing a karaoke duet at thanksgiving party for ‘The Write One’

Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid threw a thanksgiving party and sang a karaoke duet for the cast and crew of their hit TV series, "The Write One."

The real-life couple sang "Ikaw at Ako" by Moira dela Torre and Jason Marvin. Bianca sang the first few verses and Ruru joined in later in the song as they continued to sing together.

As seen on Aubrey Carampel's Thursday report on "24 Oras," Bianca and Ruru's friends, actors and real-life couple, Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas, also joined the party.

Mikee shared on Instagram Stories a video of her singing karaoke, belting out the song, "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. Mikee also shared a video of Bianca and Ruru singing together.

"Maganda naman 'yung friendship naming apat from the very beginning, lagi naman," said Mikee.

Paul added that he and Ruru talk about working with their real-life partners.

"The Write One" is Bianca and Ruru's first project together, and at the party, they also expressed their thanks to their team on the show.

"Gusto namin na i-celebrate namin sila at para sa kanila itong thanksgiving, not to thank them for just the time, pero sa lahat ng effort na ibinigay nila at pag-aalaga sa amin din sa show," said Bianca.

"We appreciate everyone. I guess we all deserve to have fun at i-celebrate yung success at yung pagod na binigay namin dito," added Ruru.

Their co-stars include Ramon Christopher, Kokoy de Santos, Royce Cabrera,  Analyn Barro, Migs Villasis, Rere Madrid, Alma Concepcion, Kaloy Tingcungco, and Mon Confiado.

Director King Mark Baco also joined the celebration. The party guests also included the production team of GMA Public Affairs and Viu Philippines

Of the show, Ruru said, "Unpredictable 'yung bawat eksena na mapapanood po ng mga kapuso natin, ng viewers natin so even us habang ginagawa namin itong proyekto na ito nagugulat din kami every week may bagong pasabog

This month, Bianca and Ruru will fly to Paris to film scenes for "The Write One." The City of Love is the dream destination of their characters on the show, Joyce and Liam.

"Ang ganda ng mga eksenang gagawin namin dun," said Ruru.

"The Write One" airs on weekdays at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Telebabad, I Heart Movies, and Pinoy Hits. A same-day replay airs on GTV at 11:25 p.m. and advanced episodes can be streamed on Viu from Saturdays to Tuesdays. — Kimberly Tsao/BM, GMA Integrated News
