Camille Prats opens up about dating in showbiz: 'Kina-trauma ko 'yun'

Camille Prats opened up about dating in showbiz and said it may have traumatized her.

"Kasi kina-trauma ko 'yun. After that, like, almost kind of relationship with someone in showbiz, ano, parang made me realize na hindi pala pang showbiz 'yung gusto ko. Na to be in a relationship with someone in showbiz, like I think it was, after that brief incident parang ayaw ko pala ng artista, kaya hindi ako nagkajowa ng artista," she said.

On the "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel" podcast, she Camille shared she had showbiz love when she was around 14 years old.

Camille said, "Iniisip ko kasi kung counted 'yun, Ms. Pia, kasi parang ano lang 'yun, young love, sweet love, so parang feeling ko hindi naman counted, hindi counted 'yun tsaka ang hirap mag-share. Na-stress ako."

Camille and her "sweet love" worked together on a TV show.

"Alam mo, to be honest, parang feeling ko actually, honestly, I don’t know if it's an open secret or somehow na-share ko naman na 'yun. It's just that hindi lang nababaran," she said.

While she was hesitant to say more at first, she gave a couple of other clues: He is still in showbiz and his name starts with a letter C.

While she doesn't really count that relationship, Camille said she learned a lot from that, well, season in her life. "Because of that, specific na pinagdaanan ko, marami din akong na-realize and moving forward, parang mas preferred ko pala ito, ganun," she said.

Camille also talked about dating in showbiz and said "it didn’t feel right."

"Hindi ko kayang pagsamahin 'yung trabaho at personal, and then growing up, I would see of course my colleagues, ganyan, na syempre mga kaibigan mo, mag-jowa sila. After a while, mag-bi-break sila tapos mamaya, iba na ang jowa niya, 'tas iba na rin ang jowa, pero magkakasama kami lahat sa work," she said.

According to Camille, she couldn't handle such a set up. "Hindi ko kaya 'yung ex ko tapos nakikita ko pa, 'tas makikita ko 'yung bago niyang jowa, tapos magkakakilala kami lahat, I cannot, 'yung parang ha, na-shock ako dito. 'Yun 'yung isang bagay na I cannot deal kaya gusto ko I want my personal life to be out of this."

She said she liked separating work from her personal life. "Para sa isip ko alam ko na uy, ito pag andito ako, trabaho ito. 'Tas ito naman, this is personal, this is mine, this is private, parang ganun," she said.

All her serious relationships were non-showbiz, Camille added. Not counting her "young love sweet love" experience at 14, the "Arabella" star said her first-ever boyfriend was non showbiz, which she had at age 15. — Kimberly Tsao/LA, GMA Integrated News
