Wilma Doesnt says she was discovered while sweeping outside her home

Wilma Doesnt revealed that she got discovered right outside her home while sweeping the ground of all things.

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap" star said model maker Robby Carmona accidentally found her.

"Si Kuya Robby kasi naligaw siya. That time, siya ang director ng Body Shots Cavite. Pero nung nakita niya ako, parang one week na lang finals na, so hindi niya ako maisingit doon sa contest kasi unfair," she said.

But at that time, Robby was also the director of Mutya ng Cavite. That's where Wilma joined.

"From then, nakita niya ko, nagwawalis, so wala siyang choice dahil gusto niya akong makita kung ano hitsura ko on stage, sinali niya ko sa beauty contest," Wilma said.

Wilma eventually bagged the crown and that's how her modeling and showbiz career began.

"Mula nun, hanggang ngayon, hindi na naulit 'yung contest na 'yun. Totoo, ako pa rin ang titleholder, Mutya ng Cavite Tourism," she quipped.

It's a Cinderella story but in real life, as Wilma said her family lived in the slums back then. Who would've thought simply doing her chores and sweeping the ground outside her home would lead her to where she is now?

"'Yung nga 'yung sinasabi ko sa mga anak ko. 'Pag 'yan destined to happen for you, kahit nasaan ka, mangyayari 'yan para sa 'yo," she said.

Wilma got engaged to her her non-showbiz partner, Gerick Livelo Parin, in 2021. They tied the knot in March last year.

The actress and comedienne, who owns a "5-star carinderia" called Chicks ni Otit, has three children.
