What does Team Jolly mean? Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay share how their love team started

Have you ever wondered why Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay's love team is called Team Jolly?

On the latest episode of "Surprise Guest With Pia Arcangel," the Sparkle teen stars opened up on how their love team was formed.

Sofia and Allen said their pairing was not decided by the management—they actually came up with it on their own.

Because the two of them could not work during the pandemic due to health protocols for minors, they collaborated on TikTok and YouTube videos.

When their first TikTok video fetched over 3.5 million views in just one day and made it to Chika Minute on "24 Oras," they realized that they can make it work.

So how did they become known as Team Jolly?

Eventually, they got noticed by the Sparkle bosses and Allen was introduced in Season 2 of GMA Afternoon Prime series "Prima Donnas," which starred Sofia.

With their natural chemistry, Team Jolly got their big break when they were cast as the lead roles in GMA Primetime series "Luv is: Caught in His Arms," an adaptation of a popular Wattpad novel.

They also paired up in "Regal Studio Presents: My Last Love" and attended the GMA Gala Night together.

Currently, Sofia and Allen star in the GMA Public Affairs digital series "In My Dreams."
