Gino Padilla posts old photo with Tina Turner: ‘Forever grateful to the legend who took a chance on me’


Gino Padilla paid tribute to the late Tina Turner on Instagram, with whom he worked with in 1986.

The Filipino singer appeared with the Queen of Rock ‘N Roll for a Pepsi commercial, where they shared the stage and sang a duet in front of a lively crowd.

Tagging Tina and posting a photo of their performance, Gino wrote in his caption, “Rest in peace Ms. Tina Turner. I will be forever grateful to the legend who took a chance on me and was an integral part of my career.”

He added, “Without you, I would not be where I am today. Thank you for the memories.”

 

 

The singer also posted videos of their campaign.

Tina died peacefully after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. She was 83.

She is best known for the songs “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” and “Proud Mary,” among many others.

Meanwhile, Gino is popular for “Closer You and I,” “Let the Love Begin,” and “Why Can’t It Be.”
