Luis Hontiveros admits he felt abused when nude photos of him leaked from film ‘Palitan’
Luis Hontiveros felt emotionally and mentally abused when nude photos of him leaked from the film “Palitan.”
On Wednesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the “AraBella” actor explained it wasn’t something he expected.
“It affected me emotionally and mentally because it wasn’t something that I [expected] to happen. It was an accident,” Luis said in the interview.
“[I felt abused] by the public, with how they perceived it, how they talked about it, but I can’t hold it against them,” he added. “It’s out in public already, and it’s out of my control.”
According to the Kapuso actor, he took on a role for “Palitan” because he wanted to work with a well-known director.
“I wanted to further my career with it, but you know, some mishaps happen, and I just charged it to experience,” he said.
Luis also said that through this unfortunate experience, he has already set boundaries on the type of roles he will say yes to.
“I guess ayoko na mag-sexy to that level,” he said.
“I want to portray myself as still sexy, but I still want it to be more artistic,” he added.
According to a December 2021 report from PEP, Luis’ leaked nude photos were taken by a drone during a foursome waterfalls love scene of “Palitan.”
“I had plaster on set bago lumusong sa tubig. Dahil nga nasa waterfalls, rushing ang water, malakas yung current, hindi na kinaya ng plaster,” Luis told PEP.
Luis joined GMA Artist Center in 2020. He currently stars in “AraBella” alongside Alfred Vargas, Shayne Sava, and Althea Ablan, among others.
