'It's Showtime' on GTV: Kapuso, Kapamilya stars to join forces this Saturday

"It's Showtime" is preparing a surprise for its debut on GTV!

On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Tito Boy said ABS-CBN executive Lauren Dyogi teased viewers on what to expect from the show when it airs this Saturday on its new home.

"Sabi ni Lauren, sa 'It's Showtime'—I am so excited about this—magsasama daw po ang mga Kapuso stars at mga Kapamilya stars," the King of Talk said.

"It's Showtime" officially inked a deal to air on GTV on Wednesday. The show's move to the Kapuso Network was announced on social media last week.

During the contract signing, GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon said the so-called TV war is finally over.

He also listed the partnerships between ABS-CBN and GMA Network, including the collaboration series "Unbreak My Heart."

"Sa tingin ko sa darating na panahon mayroon pang magiging collaboration between GMA and ABS that will be mutually beneficial and rewarding for both of us," Gozon said.

Meanwhile, "It's Showtime" hosts Anne Curtis and Kim Chiu teared up during the event and expressed excitement to become a Kapamilya-Kapuso.

"It's Showtime" will have its GTV premiere on July 1 at 11:30am, after which it will air from Monday to Saturday at 12nn. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
