Garrett Bolden flies to Guam to star in 'Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical'
Garrett Bolden is off to Guam yet again to star in “Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical.”
The Kapuso Soul Balladeer is starring as Beast in the stage adaptation of the classic tale. In an Instagram post with photos at the airport, Garrett said that he has been hard at work to properly play the character.
“Since I got the role, I have been researching and watching the film and musical to study the role,” Garrett said. “I always had my script everywhere I go and rehearse during free time on ‘All Out Sundays’ and in between events/gigs.”
“The Clash” finalist admitted that rehearsing on his own was hard, but appreciates his co-stars for doing script readings via Zoom despite the different time zones.
“I will make everyone proud,” Garrett said.
In 2022, Garrett played John Thomas in a Guam production of “Miss Saigon,” which he says is a dream come true. He released the EP “Chapters” in January.
Garrett was awarded Male Pop Artist of the Year in 2021 and New Male Recording Artist of the Year in 2020.
