Heart Evangelista renews contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center

Heart Evangelista remains a Kapuso as she renews her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

The actress and fashion icon made it official during an event at The Residences at the Westin Manila in Pasig City on Thursday.

Present at the contract signing were: GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo; Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions and Assigned Talent Manager Gigi Santiago Lara; famed star-maker Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan; and Heart’s husband Senator Chiz Escudero.

“To GMA, thank you so much for everything. I started out very young with you guys and you were there for me throughout the way,” Heart said.

“I’m just very grateful that you trust me and you support me with all that I do,” she added.

Heart also turned teary-eyed as she took the opportunity to thank Mr. M for kickstarting her career.

“Naiiyak ako,” she said with a laugh. “You saw me in a crowd and everybody else here came because you saw me first, so thank you so much.”

Heart said she is blessed with a management that took care of her throughout her career, “but even from afar, I’m so glad that [Mr. M is] near.”

“I always wanted to make you proud so I’m so thankful [you are] here today. Thank you so, so much.”

Atty. Gozon-Valdes also thanked Heart for trusting Sparkle and said that the management is honored to have her as an artist.

“We’re very proud not only of the star you’ve become, but of the woman you’ve become,” she said. “Thank you for forging your own path, [showing] your authenticity or your authentic self because I think that's the key to your success. There can only be one Heart Evangelista.”

Heart most recently starred in the Kapuso series “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.” She also appeared in the international film “The Wedding Hustler” and the Netflix reality show “Bling Empire.”
