Nikki Valdez says cheating is non-negotiable: 'Been through that'

Nikki Valdez talked about love and broken hearts on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”

During the interview, Nikki was asked by the King of Talk, “How do you unbreak a heart?”

“I don’t think you can ever unbreak a heart,” she answered. “It’s like ka-level po kasi ‘yan ng once you lose that trust of a person, diba?”

“And I always tell my daughter this, ‘Siguraduhin mo na tama ‘yung sasabihin mo, tama ‘yung mga gagawin mo, tama ‘yung mga choices mo in life.’ Kasi once you break someone’s heart, once you lie or nasabi mo na, nagawa mo na, hindi mo naman kaya ibalik ‘yun eh,” she added.

Nikki then said that cheating is a 'non-negotiable' for her when it comes to relationships.

“Because I’ve been through that,” she said. “So it’s something na sobrang sakit, sobrang sakit na sometimes, kahit kahit masaya ka na, you are at the happiest point of your life, pagka may trigger, mababalik ka eh.”

“Maiisip mo talaga na masakit. Never mo nang mababawi ‘yun kahit ano pang sabihin mong ‘masaya naman na ako ngayon,’” she added.

The actress also said that she eventually found love again when she stopped looking for it and “surrendered everything.”

“And then, the light at the end of that super dark tunnel was my daughter,” Nikki said.
