Sandara Park performs 'Festival' and 2NE1's 'I Am The Best' on 'It's Showtime'

“What’s up, Madlang People? Welcome to Sandara Park!”

This was how the K-Pop idol and Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas greeted her Filipino fans on “It’s Showtime.”

Sandara was clad in a black corset, skirt, stockings, and rabbit hat while she performed her solo single “Festival.” Blackjacks were also in for a treat because as the music started to 2NE1’s “I Am The Best,” they could not hold back their screams and they even sang along.

After Sandara's performance, host Anne Curtis told the K-Pop superstar that she was dearly missed by the “It’s Showtime” family since her last visit was back in 2017. They all shared a group hug.

“'Di kasi ako nakapunta dahil sa COVID so I was really waiting for this moment na babalik ako sa ‘Showtime,’” Sandara said.

Kim Chiu said,“Nakaka-miss mag-Tagalog si Dara.”

The hosts then shared some of their favorite memories with Sandara, like how she met up with Vhong Navarro when he traveled to Korea.

Anne asked, “How do you feel na ikaw pa rin ang Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas?”

“Kaya mahal na mahal ko ang Pilipinas eh. Dito ako nanggaling diba,” Sandara said with a smile.

She also expressed appreciation to her loyal fans. “Andito sila mula nung ‘Star Circle Quest’ hanggang ngayon. 20 years na kami diba? Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo.”

Before leaving the show, Dara shared that she was already able to eat her favorite sisig, salpicao, and garlic rice, and is looking forward to eating sinigang na hipon. She also did the “Mini Miss U” dance challenge.

Sandara flew to the Philippines to support BamBam in his first solo concert in the country on Friday.

She was in the country in early August to perform at a tech brand’s concert. She enjoyed her favorite Jollibee meal and went on a theme park ride.

Sandara and her fellow K-Pop stars also explored Clark, Pampanga last June to film a variety show titled “Idol Truck,” where Vice Ganda was a special guest.
