Nanette Medved-Po remembers Fernando Poe Jr.: 'I love the man'

Nanette Medved-Po has nothing but good words for the late Fernando Poe Jr.

In Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Nanette reminisced about her time working with FPJ in showbiz.

Nanette said one of her most memorable movies was a project with "Da King" titled, "Dito sa Pitong Gatang."

“I subsequently did two more movies with him, but I loved my time, any time I’m spending with FPJ is just golden. I love the man,” she said.

“He was a complete gentleman, larger than life personality, just really amazing,” she added.

Nanette also recalled when the late actor convinced her to return to the Philippines from Hong Kong to shoot another film.

“I came back and said, ‘Ronnie, I’ll only come back for you,’ and I did because he is just such an amazing man,” she said.

“I feel really bad that we’ve lost him, but he is incredible,” she added.

Nanette is best known for her iconic titular role as “Darna” in the 1991 adaptation.

In 2011, she established Friends of HOPE, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to education, agricultural initiatives, and carbon sequestration in the Philippines.

Proceeds from Generation HOPE are used to build public school classrooms in the Philippines.
