Exciting times are up ahead for Rivermaya after Live Nation Philippines announced their reunion concert.

But before moving ahead, Rico Blanco decided to take a look back.

On Instagram, the Filipino rockstar posted an old photograph of Rivermaya and their crew, looking young and carefree on a back of a pickup truck.

"Went to war with THIS unit," Rico began. "Early in the journey, when some doubted, poked fun, and quit on my music, these guys believed," he continued before doing a roll-call of the people present in picture, calling them by their nicknames: Panch, Joel, Mark, Bambs, Nates.

His post quickly got people sentimental for the good ol' days. Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar left three red heart emojis, while Kiana Valenciano said they provided the "soundtrack for my whole life."

Geneva Cruz left a hearty eyed emoji on the comment section, as a lot more people piped in, excited for the upcoming reunion.

Rivermaya's reunion show will take place on February 17, 2024 at the SMDC Festival Grounds.

It will feature the Rivermaya iteration we all came know and love — Bamboo on vocals, Nathan Azarcon on Bass, Rico Blanco on guitars, and Mark Escueta on Drums — before Bamboo left the band in 1998 and Rico, in 2007.

Along with Nathan, Bamboo would form Bamboo the band in 2003, as Rico went on to become a highly successful solo artist. Meanwhile, Mark kept on with Rivermaya.

According to Live Nation, the reunion show will only four types of ticket — VIP, Gold, Silver, and Bronze — which will be made available for purchase on November 17.
