Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega look back on their San Diego Comic-Con experience

After almost six months since they graced the San Diego Comic-Con in California, Miguel Tanfelix released a 22-minute vlog recapping their experience in July 2023.

In the YouTube video, Miguel sat down in a podcast setup with his on-screen partner, Ysabel Ortega, and looked back on their memories, from their arrival to their fun side trips.

On their San Diego Comic-Con experience, the two shared how they got chills upon seeing the crowd waiting for them at the event.

“Talagang milestone siya para sa Pilipinas na tangkilikin ng mga tao sa San Diego, take note, hindi lang mga Pinoy nandoon, may mga iba’t-ibang lahi, may mga Japanese, may mga taga-America talaga na nanonood ng ‘Voltes V’ and na-appreciate nila ‘yung ginagawa natin,” Miguel said.

The San Diego Comic-Con is the largest convention in California.

"Voltes V: Legacy" made history as the first Philippine TV show to attend the event.

Miguel, Ysabel, and their co-star, Gabby Eigenmann, went around the convention in their characters’ full gear, which they brought all the way from the Philippines.

Back in April, Director Mark Reyes revealed each flight suit for Voltes V members cost P350,000. 

"Voltes V: Legacy" aired its epic finale on September 8, 2023.

The Sparkle stars also reminisced about their side trips and shared clips from their free day including the moment they witnessed a romantic wedding proposal.

Miguel and Ysabel went to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park to watch the sunset, but upon arriving, they saw some people setting up the surprise, so they decided to sit down and watch the heartwarming proposal together.

Following this, they took a quick stroll around the area, stopped by a restaurant, and ordered some burgers.
