Ruru Madrid to miss 'Running Man Philippines' Season 2

Sad news for "Running Man Philippines" fans: Ruru Madrid will unfortunately miss the second season of the beloved reality game show.

On Instagram, Sunday, the Kapuso Action-Drama Prince posted a photo of his fellow Runners making sad faces while holding a poster of him.

In the caption, he wished them luck for the upcoming season.

"Gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo na sobrang mami-miss ko kayo! As in! Galingan niyo lagi sa bawat Missions niyo at laging tatandaan na #CHILLLANGKAYO haha! Mahal ko kayong lahat!" he said.

"Hanggang sa muli nating pagtakbo ng magkakasama! Let's go Running Man!"

However, Ruru said he will still have a special participation in Season 2.

"Huwag po kayong mag-aalala dahil magiging parte pa rin po ako ng 'Running Man Philippines,'" the Sparkle actor said in a video statement aired on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

Ruru currently stars in GMA Public Affairs's action series "Black Rider," which airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."

"Running Man Philippines" is the local adaptation of the popular South Korean show. It is a co-production between GMA Network and SBS Korea.

Its first season aired in 2022 and starred Glaiza De Castro, Mikael Daez, Angel Guardian, Kokoy De Santos, Lexi Gonzales, and Buboy Villar alongside Ruru. Angel was hailed as the first ever ultimate runner.
