Pokwang brings laughter to 'Abot Kamay na Pangarap' in guest appearance

“TikTropa, mag-ingay!”

Everybody’s favorite Mamang Pokwang appeared on Friday’s episode of “Abot Kamay na Pangarap,” and provided laughter on the normally dramatic show.

The actress and comedienne appeared as herself. As soon as she entered Eastridge Hospital, Pokwang served her signature comedic banter.

She greeted the TikTropa, the audience of the GMA Network variety show “TiktoClock,” which she hosts. “Hello hello hello, mga Kapuso,” she added. “Hello, beautiful people of Eastridge Hospital.”

Pokwang met Dr. Analyn Santos (Jillian Ward), Dr. Katie Enriquez (Che Ramos), and medical director Dr. Carlos Benitez (Allen Dizon). She told the team that they must be shocked by her beauty, and that she arrived late because she had to take care of her daughter Malia.

Pokwang also introduced her manager Amor. “In Tagalog, pag-ibig. At siya lang ang tanging pag-ibig na pinagkakatiwalaan ko sa mga panahon na ‘to. Echos.”

Mamang Pokwang said that she already knows about Doc Analyn, as she always trends online for being a successful young doctor.

When Analyn asked if Pokwang had any sickness, she turned dramatic and answered, “Doktora, bakit naman ganyan? May sakit agad? Doc, I’m okay. I’m normal, I’m fine.”

Amor then revealed that Pokwang visited to immerse in hospital life to play a neurosurgeon in an upcoming film. As the best neurosurgeon in the hospital, Doc Analyn was assigned to help Pokwang.

“Abot Kamay na Pangarap” celebrated its first anniversary in September 2023. Jillian and co-star Ken Chan previously teased more intense episodes of the series.

It also stars Carmina Villaroel, Richard Yap, and Kazel Kinouchi. The newest cast member is Klea Pineda, who joined the series this year. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
