Bea Alonzo on wedding plans with Dominic Roque: 'I can't tell you anything just yet'

Bea Alonzo kept mum about the plans for her upcoming wedding with Dominic Roque.

In an interview with Pep at a launch event of a smartphone brand earlier this month, the Kapuso star said that nothing is final yet.

She also said that she does not know what an ideal wedding looks like for her.

"I'll tell you kapag meron na akong idea. Right now, wala pa,” Bea said.

“We're getting there, but we're very busy," she added.  "I'm about to start a teleserye, and meron pang ibang projects na I cannot tell you which will also happen this year."

Regarding the couple’s godparents, Bea said, “Wala pa talaga. Wala pa talaga akong masabi sa inyo."

Bea said the same about the guests they want to invite. "Alam mo, wala pa talaga. I can't tell you anything just yet."

Similarly, Bea said that she and Dom do not have any set plans for the upcoming Valentine’s Day because of work.

“Wala pa rin talaga. Parang taping day nga namin yan, e," Bea said. "Wala pa talaga kaya wala akong ma-share."

Despite not having any set plans, Bea agreed that weddings should be planned by both the soon-to-be bride and groom.

"I think it's a two-way relationship. Hindi lang dapat lalaki [ang mag-effort]," she said.

"We are pushing for equality. So, equality means yung effort equal,” she added. "Sa relationship namin, wala namang mas nag-e-effort at hindi nag-e-effort."

Bea and Dominic confirmed their relationship in 2021 and got engaged last July.

During the couple’s recent trip to Japan, they sealed their love with a padlock on the railings of the Bell of Happiness.

They hope to get married this year and have discussed starting a family together. On “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Bea said she wanted to have a simple wedding.

Dominic previously revealed that Kathryn Bernardo is invited to their wedding, with Daniel Padilla out of the picture. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
