Vice Ganda says Vhong Navarro is already preparing for October's 'Magpasikat' on 'It's Showtime'

The "Magpasikat" competition among "It's Showtime" hosts for the show's anniversary isn't until October but already Vhong Navarro is preparing.

In Vice Ganda's latest vlog dubbed "What's Up, Madlang Kapuso! GMA Contract Signing Ganaps," the comedienne said Vhong already asked Darren Espanto, a new regular "It's Showtime" host, to team up with him in the "Magpasikat" portion in October.

“At dahil nasa GMA na kami, mas maaga po siya [Vhong] magpe-prepare sa ‘Magpasikat’,” Vice said in the vlog. “In fact, kinuha na niya si Darren nang hindi namin alam.”

“Ang hindi niya alam, regular na si Darren, so hindi niya na pwedeng maging guest,” she added.

Seated beside Vice in the vlog, Vhong was laughing his heart out when Vice told the story of his proposal to team up with Darren.

“February pa lang, kinakausap na niya si Darren na mag-guest, eh Oktubre pa ‘yun,” Vice said with a laugh.

"It's Showtime" had a historic signing with GMA Network last week that will allow ABS-CBN's long-running noontime show to also air on the main channel beginning Saturday, April 6.

Last year's memorable "Magpasikat" moments include the reunion of OG Sang'gres, Taylor Sheesh's debut on "It's Showtime," Anne Curtis and Jasmin Curtis-Smith's "buwis-buhay" aerial spiral dance, the AI appearance of late comedy legends Dolphy, Babalu, and Redford White, and, of course, the reconciliation of Vice and Billy Crawford
