Vice Ganda thankful as ‘It’s Showtime’ debut episode on GMA becomes top-rater 


Vice Ganda is full of gratitude to viewers, who watched the debut episode of “It’s Showtime” in GMA Network’s main channel on Saturday.

In a video message aired on Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” the Unkabogable Star thanked the madlang pipol and the madlang kapuso for the love they have given to the show.

“Madlang pipol, mga madlang kapuso sa buong mundo, maraming maraming salamat sa napakataas na pagmamahal na ibinigay niyo sa amin,” Vice said. 

“Salamat po talaga, at sana huwag po kayong magbabago ng pagtanggap at pagmamahal sa amin. Magsama pa rin po tayo araw-araw para taasan natin nang taasan ang lebel ng pagmamahal at saya everyday,” she added. 

According to Tito Boy, the debut episode of "It's Showtime" led the ratings at 6.8% on GMA Network’s main channel alone, while it registered a combined 9.7% rating from combined overnight data of channels GTV, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel and Jeepney TV. This is according to Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People Ratings.

It’s Showtime” debuted on GMA Network with an epic performance that lasted for more than 30 minutes. Among those iconic moments from its grand launch was Vice Ganda’s birthday celebration where she performed atop the GMA Network Headquarters in Kamuning, Quezon City. 

The noontime show also prepared a bunch of exciting surprises, including Michelle Dee’s appearance in their beloved segment “EXpecially For You,” where she matched to hottorney from Cebu, Oliver Moeller

Aside from Michelle, some Kapuso stars who guested in the noontime show were Gabbi Garcia, who even took a photo with “Encantadia" first Alena Karylle, Sanya Lopez, Nadine Samonte, and Jillian Ward, among others.

Meanwhile, ABS CBN executives were present at the show, gamely posing for photos backstage.
