Rhian Ramos is finally flying home after '2 days of sleeping on airport floors'

Rhian Ramos was among the stranded passengers in Dubai International Airport after heavy rains disrupted its operations.

On X (formerly Twitter) Friday, Rhian first posted a photo of what appeared to be her makeshift bed — blankets spread on the floor, towels as pillows — as well as a photo of long lines at the connections desk, and asked if there was "anyone from Emirates Dubai" who could help. "We need to rebook," she said.

Three hours later, she posted in relief. "Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!" She said, before sharing how the whole thing felt like a miracle. "So happy to be coming home," Rhian wrote. "So excited to shower too."

On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso celebrity shared more snaps from her travel ordeal and revealed she had been sleeping on airport floors for two days.

The Dubai International Airport had experienced significant disruption after floods hit parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the heavy rains this week.

Some inland areas of the UAE recorded more than 80 millimeters (3.2 inches) of rain over 24 hours approaching the annual average of about 100mm. It was reportedly the heaviest rains the Gulf State experienced in the 75 years of record-keeping.

Three Filipino OFWs were reported dead.

On Thursday, Dubai Airports chief operating officer Majed Al Joker said operations at the hub will return to normal in 24 hours.

Rhian did not disclose her travel plans. We're just glad to hear she's safe and coming home.
