Barbie Forteza grateful to 'Pulang Araw' crew, cast as series wraps up taping
The cast and crew of “Pulang Araw” had a thanksgiving and early Christmas celebration on set as the show wrapped up its taping.
In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, Barbie Forteza said that the entire team truly deserves to celebrate.
“Definitely 'yung buong team talaga, 'yung staff and crew, sila talaga 'yung pinaka-naghirap at nagpagod para mabuo 'yung show, and so they really deserve to celebrate the end of the show,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess said.
Barbie also looked back on the recent emotional scenes in the Kapuso series, including the death of Julio (Epy Quizon) after being killed accidentally by Hiroshi (David Licauco).
“Sabi ko, shucks, parang there's no coming back from that. Parang sabi ko, knowing Adelina and her character and how much she loved her father talaga kasi si Julio na lang ang tumayong magulang niya talaga after Fina died, Miss Rhian Ramos, so grabe 'yung pain na 'yun for sure. Hindi ko alam kung papaano, how Adelina would deal with that situation,” she said.
She recalled that the scene when Adelina heard of Julio’s death was so heartbreaking.
“Malaking tulong talaga na sobrang believable 'yung itsura ni Sir Epy. Talagang props to the prosthetics and the makeup team, Talagang ang galing, so ramdam na ramdam mo talaga,” Barbie said.
“Pulang Araw” airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras.” It is also streaming on Netflix.
