Ruru Madrid is a total charmer in latest magazine cover

Ruru Madrid is the cover star of Esquire Philippines for its January 2025 issue!

On Instagram, the magazine shared an image of the Kapuso Primetime Action Hero posing for their latest cover.

Taken by photographer Paul Sugano, Ruru's picture showcases his toned action star-body and his tattoos written in Hebrew.  

“From a skinny kid who used to run around pretending to save his sisters from trouble, Ruru Madrid is now living his dreams of becoming an actual action star,” the magazine wrote. 

“There were rough roads along the way, but that only made the successes the award-winning actor is enjoying now that much sweeter,” they added. 

According to Esquire Philippines, the cover story will delve into Ruru’s journey in showbiz such as his struggles in the early stage of his career, landing the lead role in “Lolong” and winning his first acting award at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). 

Ruru has reprised his titular role in the second season of “Lolong” which airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras.” 

Before his return as Lolong, the Sparkle star starred in the MMFF Best Picture “Green Bones” which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award.
