Gabbi Garcia reveals she auditioned for 'Pinoy Big Brother' in 2012
Did you know? Gabbi Garcia once dreamed of becoming a "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate!
During the latest episode of "All-Out Sundays" on February 9, the Kapuso It Girl revealed that she auditioned for the popular reality show in 2012.
"Alam n'yo ba, story time, nag-audition ako sa PBB way back 2012," Gabbi said.
Thirteen years later, Gabbi was tapped as the Kapuso host of the upcoming "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab" that will air on GMA Network this year.
In an Instagram post, the Sparkle star shared old photos of her from her audition where it showed a young Gabbi lining up and holding a small placard that says "03951."
"I'm beyond excited to announce that I'll be one of your hosts for the upcoming Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition! See you all sa Bahay ni Kuya!" Gabbi said.
According to her, she auditioned for the "PBB Teen Edition Season 4" in 2012, which named fellow Sparkle actress Myrtle Sarrosa as the big winner.
"Fast forward to 2025—looks like I was meant to host it instead! Or who knows? Maybe there's still more in store," she added. "This is a huge milestone, and I can't wait to share this experience with all of you! Game na ba kayo?!"
Aside from Gabbi, several Kapuso artists have also tried their luck in PBB such as Megan Young, Beauty Gonzalez, Tom Rodriguez, Kazel Kinouchi, Luis Hontiveros, and Zonia Mejia.
The upcoming edition will bring Kapuso and Kapamilya artists from Sparkle and Star Magic under one roof as housemates.
The major collaboration is in celebration of the show's 20th anniversary this 2025. It will air on GMA Network for the first time.
