Jackson Wang releases solo single, teases new album

Jackson Wang is back with new music.

The GOT7 member released the new song “High Alone,” where he sings about heartbreak and wanting to be saved.

The music video starts with Jackson smoking alone, and then shows scenes of Jackson looking and yelling into a mirror.

Then, he performs a magic trick for an audience, locking himself inside a water tank. The singer realizes he cannot unlock the tank and panics. Jackson injures his hand as he tries to escape, and ends up swimming in a tank of blood.

The text, “The deepest wounds are not from your enemies,” was then flashed.

The MV also revealed that “Magicman II” is happening.

Jackson shared more about the album in an Instagram post.

“All my life I never really told you who I truly am. How I really feel,” he wrote.

“I’ve spent the last year understanding the Jackson I have always been avoiding,” he added. “Let me tell you the truth I see. It’s all in this album. Let the story begin.”

Jackson’s latest album, “Magicman,” was released in 2022, and includes the tracks “Blow,” “Dopamine,” and “Come Alive.”

He was in the Philippines that same year for the K-Pop Masterz in Manila concert and the Head in the Clouds music festival.

Meanwhile, GOT7 made their much-awaited comeback in January with the EP “Winter Heptagon.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
