SB19 on comeback single ‘DAM’: ‘Para po sa mga nangangarap’

SB19’s new single, “DAM,” is dedicated to every dreamer.

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” Friday, Pablo said that they have always wanted to go beyond what they have already released in the past.

“Paano ba natin hihigitan ‘yung sagad na? Pa’no ba tayo makakapag-explore and try to top off what we’ve released from the past? Nandito po kami sa point in life na yeah, kilala kami ng mga tao, nasa limelight kami, comfortable kami sa situation namin, pero to be able to surpass what we have right now, kailangan naming mag-take risk,” he said.

According to Josh, “DAM” is not just for their fans.

“I feel like para po sa mga nangangarap po talaga in general na kung ano ‘yung gusto nilang gawin, gawin po nila,” he said.

For the comeback single, Stell sported a new look.

“Matagal na po kasi naming plinano talaga po ‘yung ganitong concept. So para maging makatotohanan siya, I think na-feel ko na magpahaba talaga ng hair just to stick do’n sa concept, sa brand na ilalabas namin,” he said.

Stell said that he had attempted to grow his hair before, but he would cut it again because of the hot weather.

"DAM" is the first single off of their upcoming comeback album "Simula at Wakas."

SB19's music video for "DAM," which was also released Friday, is set in a dark, medieval fantasy world.

The group will perform the single live for the first time on "All Out Sundays" on March 2.

Composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin, SB19 debuted in 2018 and has become one of the most successful P-pop groups today. They are known for their songs "MAPA," "GENTO," and "Nyebe."

SB19 will go on a world tour starting May 31 at the Philippine Arena.
