Sam Milby breaks into tears after getting asked about breakup with Catriona Gray

Sam Milby turned emotional after getting asked about how he is handling his breakup with Catriona Gray on Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

According to Sam, it has been rough on him and that "no breakup is easy."

"It wasn't only [because] mag-boyfriend, girlfriend kami. We were engaged," Sam said. "And to have that not push through, it's been really rough, honestly."

"When that happened in the last few weeks, it's been, yeah, it's been really rough. And I think it's better to just be honest about it," he added, teary-eyed.

Still in tears, Sam said he didn't "expect to be this emotional" because it's a "hard subject" that he doesn't want to talk about.

According to Sam, he didn't want to go into details anymore because the more he talks about the issue, the more people will scrutinize them.

"I have so much love and respect on both sides, but it hasn't been easy at all," he said.

Sam confirmed his breakup with Catriona in February. The actor told ABS-CBN News that they are no longer together, and that they were "okay."

Sam and Catriona revealed their relationship in 2020 and got engaged in 2023.

Last year, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Catriona wasn't wearing her engagement ring in her recent posts.

Catriona fueled split rumors after she deleted her engagement photos with Sam.

Cornerstone Entertainment then released a statement saying that Sam and Catriona were "facing some challenges in their relationship."

Sam currently stars with Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo in the romantic comedy film "Everything About My Wife," which is now showing in cinemas.
