Ronnie Ricketts praises past leading ladies Vilma Santos, Beverly Vergel, and more
Ronnie Ricketts and his wife Mariz guested on Wednesday's "Lutong Bahay" where he praised his former leading ladies Vilma Santos, Beverly Vergel, Donita Rose, and Vina Morales.
Mikee Quintos and Chef Ylyt visited the couple for the show's latest episode. During the Kitchen-Terrogate segment, the hosts asked the veteran action star to rank his four leading ladies.
Ronnie, however, only had praises for his past co-stars, sharing that his time working with them was fun and they were all talented actresses.
According to him, shooting with Vilma would take months due to scheduling challenges, which allowed them to develop a good friendship.
"Si Vilma, kumbaga ang shooting will only take about four months, it took us about eight to nine months. Kasi nga ang gugulo ng schedule, so naging close 'yung kaibiganan, pupunta sa set, matutuloy ba or hindi, may pack up, may kwentuhan masaya," he said.
Ronnie and Vilma worked together in the 1993 movie "Ikaw Lang."
Meanwhile, Beverly was one of his first onscreen partners. The two starred together in the film "Ambush" in 1988.
"Si Beverly, bagong-bago ako, kaya memorable and then pareho kami, nag-a-action siya na babae eh, so 'di ko rin siya makalimutan tsaka napakabait niya," he shared.
As for Donita, Ronnie described her as "mabait" and "magaling din na artista." The two starred together in "Anak ng Dagat" (1991). He also worked with Vina, including in the 1995 film "Huwag Mong Isuko ang Laban."
Ronnie and his wife Mariz, on the other hand, both starred in the 1991 movie "Ganti ng Api."
The couple is currently part of the cast of "Mga Batang Riles" alongside Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy De Santos, Antonio Vinzon, Bruce Roeland, and Raheel Bhyria, among others.
The series airs weeknights at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime.
